Sara P. Seghezzo, MD

Dr. Seghezzo is board-certified in Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology. She was born and raised in Arizona. She escaped the heat, heading to Santa Clara University for her undergraduate studies. She graduated with honors with degrees in Biology and Italian and minors in French and International studies. She then moved to San Antonio, TX for a year, working with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps at a shelter for children with special needs who were abused or neglected. She experienced the patient side of medicine, as she was the primary caregiver during the children’s medical appointments—a perspective that she carries forward in her care as a physician.
While loving all aspects of allergy and immunology, Dr. Seghezzo has special interests in food allergy, asthma, eczema, and primary immunodeficiencies, publishing peer-reviewed papers. She also participated in numerous high-risk oral food challenges and food allergy clinical trials during her fellowship. She enjoys working with and treating patients of all ages and is excited to start her career as an allergist in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and exploring the local food scene. She also enjoys traveling and has visited over 30 countries. She is a certified bilingual provider in Spanish, Italian and also speaks French.

Trever Burnett

Trever M. Burnett, MD

Education

Dr. Burnett lives in Eastern Washington with his wife and four children. His family loves their life on the river and tries to spend as much time in the water as possible. He also loves attending all his kids’ many events and is an active church member. A former Eagle Scout, he now volunteers his time with the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Burnett enjoys running marathons, skiing, camping, and boating.

Dr. Burnett is a board-certified allergist and joined Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center in 2013. He has a strong interest in caring for patients with severe asthma, atopic dermatitis, food allergies, and chronic sinus disease. No matter the condition, his most significant goal is to help patients better understand and manage their disease and improve their quality of life. He is board-certified in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Allergy and Immunology.

 

Daniel J. Groth, MD

Dr. Groth is a board-certified physician who practiced pediatrics for over two years in New York City prior to moving to Washington for subspecialty training in Allergy/Immunology. He is excited to establish roots in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Originally from Minnesota, he completed his medical training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and Goryeb Children’s Hospital in New Jersey. He then practiced general pediatrics in a busy Brooklyn office. Managing many patients with allergies and asthma motivated him to shift his clinical focus to allergic conditions in children and adults.

Dr. Groth’s clinical interests include food allergy, chronic urticaria, asthma, eczema, allergen immunotherapy, and biologic therapies for allergy-related disorders.

He lives in Bellevue with his wife and their young son. He enjoys traveling, hiking, practicing jazz guitar, and remains a loyal Minnesota sports fan.

Lisa Winterroth

Lisa C. Winterroth, MD

Dr. Winterroth is a Board-Certified allergist. A Seattle native, her education all over the country has brought her back to see patients in her hometown!
She completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Washington in 2015 before joining Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center. During her fellowship, she also served as a sub-investigator on several clinical trials through Seattle Allergy & Asthma Research Institute (previously ASTHMA Clinical Research Center.) Dr. Winterroth was drawn to allergy for personal reasons, having grown up with two siblings affected by food allergies, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and eczema.
In her free time, Dr. Winterroth enjoys exploring the beautiful sights of the Pacific Northwest with her family. She is also an avid runner and a loyal Husky and Seahawks fan.

William T. Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen is board-certified in Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed residency/fellowship training at the University of Tennessee – Memphis. Dr. Nguyen and his family have relocated from Dallas. He brings over 20 years of clinical experience. He has an excellent reputation for providing quality care to his patients and was regularly included in Dallas Magazines’ “Best of” in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Nguyen strongly believes that being active is the best way to stay healthy. He says, “I encourage all my patients to participate or get involved in physical activity. This can be through organized sports, working out, or just spending one day a week walking around the neighborhood. For me, the best way to maintain an active lifestyle is to set goals for yourself. When we get a chance to meet, I would love to hear about your goals and accomplishments.”

Jennifer A. Regan, MD, PhD

Education

Dr. Regan is board-certified in both Allergy/Immunology and Internal Medicine. Following her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry with Honors from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), she received her MD/Ph.D. from Northwestern University in the field of Microbiology/Immunology. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency and Allergy and Immunology fellowship in 2016 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and was selected to be a chief fellow. During her time at Northwestern, she worked in the laboratory of Dr. Bruce Bochner. She studied the mechanisms involved in anaphylaxis and food allergy and new potential treatment options. She currently holds a clinical faculty position in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington.

During her free time, Dr. Regan stays busy keeping up with her two young sons. She also enjoys hiking, running, and traveling.  

Matthew Perez, MD

Dr. Perez is a board-certified Allergist from Steilacoom, Washington. After obtaining his undergraduate degree at Western Washington University he spent time working at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center before attending medical school at the University of Washington. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and Allergy fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is excited to once again be practicing in Washington state.

Dr. Perez enjoys working alongside patients in the clinic. Whether it’s offering guidance, crafting tailored treatment approaches, or simply listening with empathy, he values the chance to contribute positively to their well-being.

When not in the clinic Dr. Perez enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and trying new restaurants. He is always interested to hear about fun and exciting travel experiences!

Banipreet Kaur, MD

Dr. Banipreet Kaur is a board-certified physician specializing in adult and pediatric Allergy & Immunology. Dr. Kaur completed her internal medicine residency at Wayne State University and her Allergy/Immunology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and the University of Iowa. As a fellow, Dr. Kaur co-authored various publications related to asthma. After finishing her training, Dr. Kaur joined the faculty at the University of Iowa. During her three-year tenure as Clinical Assistant Professor, she managed various allergic disorders, including drug and food allergies, chronic urticaria, and asthma. She recently moved to Seattle to be closer to family. Dr. Kaur believes in evidence-based medicine, helping her patients understand their medical problems and develop therapeutic plans via a shared-decision making process.

Dr. Kaur enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and exploring the beautiful outdoors in her free time.

Melanie Chong, MD

Dr. Melanie Chong is a board-certified allergist/immunologist. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Allergy/Immunology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital in New York. During her fellowship, she authored publications on atopic dermatitis and anaphylaxis education. Dr. Chong grew up in Vancouver, BC and always knew she’d return to the Pacific Northwest to settle down with her family. She has been a practicing allergist/immunologist in the Seattle area since 2017.

Dr. Chong believes that the foundation of a positive relationship with her patients is shared decision making. She believes that patient education is at the heart of this foundation as it allows her patients to make the best possible decisions for their health. She also focuses on evidence-based medicine to improve her patients’ quality of life.

In her free time, Dr. Chong can be found on the playground, field or pool with her 2 sons and husband. She also enjoys reading and gardening.

Lucas M. Meredith, ARNP, FNP-C

Lucas M. Meredith is a nurse practitioner with a strong educational background in nursing. He holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Parkland College and a Master of Science in Nursing from Bradley University, where he graduated with honors. Lucas has worked in a busy local emergency department. During this time, he honed his triage, critical care, and emergency response skills, developing a calm and focused approach to patient care. Lucas also gained valuable experience diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
Lucas brings his expertise and enjoys working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs. He is passionate about helping patients to manage their asthma and allergies and improve their quality of life. As a lifelong learner, Lucas also enjoys reading and staying up to date with the latest developments in medicine and healthcare. He believes continuing education is essential for providing the highest quality care to his patients.
In addition to his extensive nursing career, Lucas had the pleasure of being raised in the Tri-Cities area and is a proud Navy veteran. One of his greatest passions is coaching his children’s sports teams, including football, softball, and basketball. Lucas enjoys the opportunity to work with young athletes and help them develop their skills and confidence on and off the field.

Hana Finnigan, ARNP

Hana Finnigan is a board-certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. A Pacific Northwest native, she began her academic journey at the University of Washington, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Cincinnati.  After completing her education, she returned to serve her home community, beginning her career in Allergy/Immunology at Pediatrics Northwest in Tacoma, WA. There, she received comprehensive training under the direct guidance of board-certified allergy immunologists, gaining extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide variety of allergic and immunologic conditions.
Hana’s practice philosophy emphasizes individualized care and shared decision-making, focusing on meeting each patient’s unique needs. She is committed to staying current on the most recent evidence-based practice recommendations and is dedicated to partnering with other providers to ensure patients achieve their best health and quality of life.  She finds great reward in being part of patients’ health journeys and empowering them through education.
Outside of work, Hana enjoys crafting, geocaching, traveling, playing board games, and spending time with the people she loves!
